Peacemaker is a Polish hardcore/grindcore/sludge/death metal band founded in 1996 in town of Rawicz. Since 1998 they’ve been known under this moniker, and been active for over a quarter of a century now. Current line-up of the band is; Kucol (vocals), Łukasz (guitars), JJ (drums) and Devil (bass & backing vocals).

Internal Revolution is their second full-length 9-tracker release. This album is more of a kind of summary of the band’s activity in the years 2017-2024. Spanning over so long period in creation of these songs, I would say that these nine tracks are very diverse and delivered with different tempos and atmospheres. Thus, what we have on Internal Revolution are nine stubborn songs, full of anger and violence, where the quartet successfully blends the elements of hardcore, grindcore, death metal and sludge. Vocals are mostly angry and voracious, accompanied by some bone-breaking riffs, abrasive flows, convincing breaks, rhythmic drums patterns and venomous bass lines. Lyrically, as the planet continues to be plagued by war, their main lyrical themes are still war, violence, greed, hatred and similar subjects.

Tracklist for Internal Revolution:

1. (We come) from nowhere

2. Stay human (feat. Brasi from Bloodstained)

3. Infected Mind

4. Today is the day

5. Internal revolution

6. Hate crosses borders

7. The rat race has started

8. 99 thousand of lies

9. Words of my life

The whole thing was mixed and mastered by Jarek Wysocki at the ‘Soundscope Recording Studio’ in Wrocław (Guantanamo Party Program, 71TonMan, Crimson Valley), while Mieszko Jankowski (Night Lord, Morrath, Leprozorium) is responsible for the beautiful and fitting graphic design. The production part is great and this wall of sound they have built on Internal Revolution practically speaks for itself in all its violence.

After three spins there’s one thing that I find most impressive, and it’s the fact that after 27 years on stage, there has been no slacking in terms of energy and aggression on the behalf of the band. I’m glad that the guys established cooperation with Spook Records and that Internal Revolution got released as full-length album. So don’t hesitate to give it a spin or two and get crushed by their pieces. I promise that you’ll not go away disappointed if you like your music heavy, aggressive, non-commercial, and not following current trends.

Lastly; Internal Revolution is a fine example of more traditional take on hardcore/extreme metal tradition in my book. However, it merits a listen by those who tend to enjoy extreme bands that are a bit more creative when exploring this part of extreme metal universe. Below you can watch the video for the awesome single “Infected Mind”.

Highly recommended to fans of bands such as Hatebreed, Machine Head, Sepultura, Madball, Sick Of It All Pig Destroyer, Xibalba or Toxic Bonkers. For further information on this particular release go to https://peacemakercore.bandcamp.com/album/internal-revolution-2
