Ever since their heyday in the 90’s New York Hard Core originals from Biohazard have been on and off with different line-ups. The classic line-up shortly reunited in late 00’s and then here again in 2022. Time will tell how long this reunion will last, so it’s one of those concerts that shouldn’t be missed at this year’s Copenhell. There are however rumours of working on new music, so who knows – this might last.

Walking on the stage to the into notes of “State of the World Address” and before you know it, Biohazard hit into massive “Shades of Grey”. From the get-go there was this good positive vibe on stage especially between Billy Graziadei and Evan Seinfeld and Biohazard didn’t waste any time, so by the time they played couple of songs Graziadei was already crowd-surfing while playing the guitar, they invited crowd to the stage and handed them beer and tequila as if the opening with “Shades of Grey“, “Tales From the Hard Side” and “Urban Discipline” wasn’t enough in itself.

Few songs later Graziadei was in the circle pit, while playing and just like that the band kept ripping though their many classics as well as a frantic cover of Bad Religion’s “We’re Only Gonna Die” – whom Seinfeld called one of their favourite bands.

Throughout, the energy level was extremely high, yet at the same time there was such a positive and life reaffirming feel to Bioharazrd’s show. Partially due to those constant smiles and crowd involvement, but just as much because of the positive attitude and messages from the band. There was no hate or finger pointing, but rather focusing on the positive, which in all its simplicity is the unity between the band and the crowd displayed at this show. Take notes, Avenged Sevenfold.
