The Future Doesn’t Need You is an Athens (Georgia/USA) based band’ debut release. Originally released on a tape this release contains 10 tracks of pure power-violence and relentless grind-core.
The overall sound is fat and crunchy, the same as riffing, vocals are screaming and it feels like the guy is about to throw his lungs out. Drumming is fast and blasting switching in both speed and energy. In other words; the whole album is pretty violent and desperate, yet with a sharper production and mature execution than majority of modern grindcore releases nowadays.
On the other hand, The Future Doesn’t Need You is a very short release and the entire opus lasts for only app. 13 minutes. Songs are obviously extremely short and direct which doesn’t leave any space for boredom or repetitive sounds. Lyrical content is also interesting and smart dealing with societal & personal injustices.
If you’re totally desperate and pissed off at everything, this band is ideal to ease your frustrations. For more info on this quite original grind-core trio please visit: http://facebook.com/gripecore
