My Kingdom Music, 5th February 2010
While still a relatively new band on the scene, Fuelblooded has managed to deliver an album that is sure to spark an interest in metal fans everywhere, promising a hardpacked album full of both classical moves as well as innovative attempts, mad riffs and fantastic (catchy) lyrics. Do they do this with success? I dare say that they do. Being a old fan of melodic music, I was interested at the mix between that and death metal that these guys ventured into. Calling it Melodic Death Metal as the promotional sheet does is true, is only half the truth, though. They mix trash, death, doom and heavy fucking metal into something well worth listening to.
“When Passion Dies,” “Recipe for Demise” and the title track are songs that will appear on my play list for years to come, this I know to be true already. Featuring some new blood and ready to tear your head off with the inherent violent energies, Fuelblooded are certain to secure for themselves a spot in the industry that cannot be ignored. This, their third release, ought to make sure of that, at least.
Beautiful artwork that only adds to the overall experience, a production making it sound crystal clear as well, this is an album that is sure to leave you feeling glad you bought it, even if not enticed by death metal.
While I am calling it death I think they have taken the few but good aspects of death and combined them with the other aforementioned genres with great care and great success, taking it so much further.
